Free Download Light Sweep Pro. LightSweepPro is a physics-based bevel and light sweep plugin for After Effects, built to create polished edge lighting with 7 presets, chromatic aberration, and surface texture controls.
It keeps setup simple in busy After Effects windows: work on one layer, use auto-animate, and avoid precomposing.

What is LightSweepPro?

LightSweepPro is a physics-based bevel and light sweep plugin for After Effects that helps create polished edge lighting and surface-style highlights without precomposing.
It works on one layer and includes 7 presets, chromatic aberration, surface texture, and auto-animate, making it useful for motion designers who need clean light sweep effects inside After Effects.

Overview of LightSweepPro

LightSweepPro is an Aescripts plugin for After Effects that creates physics-based bevel and light sweep effects, giving motion designers a direct way to add polished highlights and dimensional edges to their work.

It includes 7 presets, chromatic aberration, and surface texture controls, so users can shape the look of the sweep without building complex setups from scratch.

The workflow stays simple: apply it on one layer, use auto-animate when needed, and avoid precomposing, making it practical for editors and designers who want clean light movement with less setup.

Features of LightSweepPro

• Physics-based bevel and light sweep controls built for After Effects, giving motion designers a focused way to create dimensional light movement inside a composition.
• Includes 7 presets, so users can start from ready-made looks instead of building every bevel or sweep setup from scratch.
• Chromatic aberration support adds color separation to the light sweep effect for a more stylized visual result.
• Surface texture controls let the effect react with added material detail rather than staying flat or plain.
• Auto-animate support helps create moving light sweeps without setting up every motion step manually.
• Works on one layer and does not require precomposing, which keeps the After Effects setup cleaner and reduces extra composition management.

How to install LightSweepPro

• Close After Effects before you install LightSweepPro 1.3.1. This helps After Effects read the new Plugin cleanly when it starts again.
• Find the LightSweepPro extension folder in your product files. Keep the folder structure as supplied.
• On windows, copy the LightSweepPro folder to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
• On Mac, copy the same folder to: system disk/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions. This Library folder may be called resource library in Chinese.
• Open After Effects after copying the folder. Check the extension or plugin area inside After Effects for LightSweepPro.
• If LightSweepPro does not show, close After Effects, confirm the folder is placed directly inside the CEP extensions path, then open After Effects again.

Technical Details and System Requirements

LightSweepPro is an After Effects plugin from Aescripts, version 1.3.1. It creates physics-based bevel and light sweep effects with 7 presets, chromatic aberration, surface texture controls, and auto-animate support. The plugin works on one layer and does not require precomposing, which keeps setup simple inside After Effects. Its stated compatibility is After Effects. No specific operating system, hardware, or host version requirements are provided in the source details.

1.3.1 -May 28, 2026
– Bug fix: Sweep Mode “Center-In” now correctly converges from the edge of the composition to the center, behaving as the round counterpart to Edge-to-Center. Previously Center-In rendered identically to Center-Out due to Gaussian symmetry in the distance function (both modes showed the same ring at radius_offset).- Bug fix: Edge Glow now produces dual-peak lead/trail rings for all radial Sweep Modes (Center-Out, Center-In, Edge-to-Center, Custom Origin), matching the front-runner + after-glow behavior of Linear mode. Previously Radial modes only showed a single brightness peak, making the Edge Width parameter feel ineffective in those modes.- Note: Projects using Center-In or radial Edge Glow in v1.3.0 will render with the corrected behavior in v1.3.1. If you prefer the v1.3.0 appearance, stay on v1.3.0.
